B.A.D. Riders Do Good!

The B.A.D. Ride which was held on May 27, 2001 in support of the Distress Centres of Toronto broke another record.

Despite wet weather over 1000 participants raised in excess of $96,000 exceeding last year by over $10,000.  This is a fabulous result considering the amount of rain which soaked the riders but not their spirits. Motorcyclists have raised more money for the Distress Centres in one day than the charity receives from any other of it's fund raising activities. Karen Letofsky, Co-Executive Director of the Distress Centres is extremely thankful to the motorcyclists who participated in the event and those who took time to volunteer, raise funds and help.

Murray Gagnon of Brampton was the lucky winner of the special customized Vulcan Nomad 1500 nicknamed "Cleo" due to it's "Egyptian" customized motif. Murray can be seen in the picture attached being presented the bike by Christian Wolters of Kawasaki Canada.

The B.A.D. Ride is already underway for next year with special plans for the 5th anniversary.  Founding sponsor Kawasaki Canada has already signed on to be one of the major sponsor again next year.
